PG-13- Violence/Gore/Language
The next morning came and everything was going as it always did. Seth and Leo were in the dojo having their usual meditation and training before anyone else even woke up. But once everyone was awake they all went to separate activities. Today John decided to be the one to start breakfast. Don usually went straight to the lab. He sometimes even slept in there, depending on if he was able to stay awake at his desk. On the nights where he didn't succeed in staying awake, Java faithfully came and found him and put a blanket over him and let him be.
Raph headed to the dojo to work out a little. He and Seth both spent a lot of their time there, but Raph probably spent more time there than Seth did.
Mikey was heading to the kitchen to start breakfast but saw that John had beat him to it. Mikey use to be the one to make breakfast on most mornings, but Seth was now the one doing it on most days. And it seemed the young turtle over achieved when it came to making good food. Mkey, of course, accredited himself for Seth's success in the kitchen. And in part he was right to do so. Seth learned most of his culinary skills from Mikey, but then he went beyond that to teach an excel himself.
John was a good cook as well. Not as good as Seth or Mikey, but certainly better than Raph, Don, and Shawn.
Seeing that he wouldn't be doing any cooking this morning, Mikey made his way to the couch and sat down and turned on the news. Minutes later Shawn came slowly dragging himself out and sat on the opposite end of the couch from Mikey and leaned on the couch arm half awake. Mikey looks at him and blinks "Wow, Shawn, uhhh....you look terrible!...Did you sleep at all last night?"
Shawn just groans and shakes his head not looking at Mikey and Mikey swallows. Maybe he shouldn't have let Shawn watch that movie after all.
Emily then comes over and hugs Mikey. But when she sees Shawn she gasps. "Sweetheart!!! You don't look like you slept at all last night!"
Mikey clears his throat, "We uhhh....watched a horror movie last night with Raph..."
Emily crosses her arms "Mikey, I told you that stuff isn't good for you guys! Look at him!"
Shawn groans and leans his head back on the couch. "Mom, I'm fine.....please...."
Emily frowns and sighs "...Fine. You both are old enough to make your own decisions."
With that she walks off to the kitchen.
Mikey swiftly turns around in his seat, "I love you, honey!"
But she already disappeared into the other room.
Mikey turns back around in his seat and sighs and rubs the back of his neck. "She just really cares about us, Shawn."
Shawn just nods and moans, being too sleepy to pay much attention to anything.
Again, Mikey sighs and looks at the tv with a defeated countenance.
It wasn't long however before the smell of food came to the young turtle's senses and woke him right up. John barely needed to give the announcement that the food was ready before Shawn was off the couch.
Mikey rushed after Shawn knowing Shawn would put as much food on his plate as possible. The rest of the family wasted no time either and soon everyone was seated having their breakfast.
Once everyone was finished eating, Leo worked on doing the dishes and everyone else went their separate ways.

In the living room Seth, John, and Shawn were now standing around talking. "Could we all spend time together today? We do not do that much these days..." John's voice came sadly.
Seth gave a gentle smile, "I know...we have all gotten busy just doing our things. I think a day together would be nice. Got any ideas?"
John blushes a little "I was kind of hoping to go to the woods."
Shawn's face lit up, "Oh!!! We should go to that pool of water with the waterfall!"
Seth suddenly went pale "W-water?"
John smiles from under the black mask that covered most of his face, "Oh yes, that spot is beautiful. I have been wanting to collect seeds and other plants to try and grow in my room, so that place would b perfect for this."
Seth however looked uneasy and nervous. "Y-you guys wouldn't rather just run or..do some training in the woods?
Shawn laughs mockingly at Seth, "Afraid the water gonna jump out at you and swallow you up??"
John frowns, "Do not listen to him, Seth. You do not have to go near the water. It will be a good time together."
Seth swallows and was not very relieved by John's reassuring words. But he didn't want to ruin anything for his cousins.
"I-I guess..."
Seth had a phobia of water since he was little. Baths were nearly impossible to give him, and to this day he would only ever shower, never lay in the tub with water in it. Ad although he was indeed a turtle, he never learned how to swim. And it wasn't because he wasn't given the opportunity. His family all tried to make him learn. But his fear of water was too great and he refused to try.
Heading to the garage they grab a few things then pile into the battleshell. It was a miracle that old armored truck was still running. Don made sure of it. And Seth learned mechanics from Don and it ended up being one of Seth's biggest passions. So he made sure to help Don as well keep the battleshell up and going.
John began to climb in the back as carefully as he could. It was the only section of the over sized vehicle that he could really get in. Seth and Shawn turned around to see the end of the truck sink low, like an armored car filled with money. John's face got slightly red and he looks at them and looked down shamefully.
Seth frowns, "I meant to make further adjustments to the battleshell. Sorry John. I've been a little busy. It ain't yer fault."
Shawn looks at Seth with a raised brow "Busy?!?! Doin what?! Sitting around the lair closing yer eyes??"
Seth growls a bit, "If you're referring to meditation, it's not just sitting around and closing your eyes!"
Shawn scoffs at Seth and kicks his feet up on the dashboard. "Whatever you say, Leo junior..."
Seth glares, "Do NOT call me that!"
John swallows "Guys, can we please just get along today?"
Seth sighs and gives a slight nod and pulls out in the battleshell without another word.
It only took about an hour before they finally got to the start of the woods. After parking the battleshell in a more hidden spot, they all got out and walked the rest of the way. It didn't take long for them to reach the spot. It was beautiful there. Such a serene and peaceful place. There was a beautiful waterfall that ran into a pool of water. It was an absolutely beautiful picture. Seth, however, could only think of the water and the terror it gave him. John knew it and decided to help Seth keep his mind off things and goes over to him with a book. "Seth, would you like to help me collect some plant seeds?" He gives Seth a gentle smile and Seth was thankful for John's thoughtfulness. "I'd love to..."
Shawn strips off his gear and happily jumps into the water with a nice cannonball. "WOOOOO!"
Seth and John glance over at him and watch a moment.
Shawn comes up out of the water and stares back at them. "So when are you ladies gonna come and join me??"
John nods, "I will come in shortly."
Seth just glares, "You know I ain't going in...."
Shawn rolls his eyes. "It's not even deep!! Only goes to my chest!"
Seth shivers at the thought, "And that's deep enough....No thank you!"
Shawn again rolls his eyes and shakes his head. "Whatever..." He goes back under the water.
Seth frowns and hated it when there was tension between him and Shawn. Those two were quite close despite all their arguments and fights. John kindly puts a hand on Seth's shoulder. "Do not worry about him, Seth. He must come to understand how you feel and respect that. No one will force you to do something you are not comfortable with."
Seth swallows and nods. "Th...thank you, John..."
John smiles, "Come. Let us find some good plants to bring home."
So John and Seth go around collecting seeds and looking up various plants in the book John brought and both enjoyed it a lot. To be fair, John spent time with Seth doing that. Then when he was done he went in the water to spend time with Shawn and Seth relaxed against a tree and continued reading John's plant book.
They spent about 2 hours there before finally heading back home. Seth felt bad that he didn't really do anything with Shawn directly while they were out and he swallows. "Shawn....do you wanna go to our skating rink next? We could...bring our boards....your music....and all the junk food you want."
Shawn's eyes grew and he looks at Seth surprised. "Really? You really want that??" Seth nods and smiles, "Yes."
Shawn smiles now and nods. "That sounds awesome man."
John swallows. He didn't like Shawn's music, and he couldn't skate board, for several reasons. "I think I will head home while you both do that."
Seth looks back and frowns, "Are you sure, John? I don't wanna leave you out..."
John shakes his head, "No really, it is fine. I am not into those activities. And I would really like to start working on the plant project I am doing."
Seth nods. "Ok John."
They head back to the lair and Seth and Shawn grab their skate boards, Shawn's portable stereo, and lots of junk food and head back out. John went straight to his room with his treasures.
Seth and Shawn headed back out of the lair, this time on foot and through the sewer tunnels. After about 10 minutes they reach their destination. It was an old service area and it was a very large space. The room made for them a perfect place to skate board and hang out. Shawn puts some CD's in the stereo and blares the music. It was metal music with lots of screaming, and Shawn was one of the few there in the family that enjoyed that style of music. Raph was the other one who enjoyed that music, but only to a certain extent. Shawn, however, listened to it without limits.
"Let's go, man!"
He jumps on his board and takes off, the music ringing throughout the whole place. Seth tolerated the music for the most part. So with that he jumps on his board and races after Shawn.
An hour later they both came back home.
Shawn went right for the couch and turned on the tv. Seth stretches and looks around for a way to make himself busy. Raph saw him and came over looking inquisitive. "Where did you guys go?"
Seth blinks, "Well first all three of us went to woods and hung out a while, the Shawn and I went to the old service station to skate board a bit. That was it."
Raph sighs, "Ah. Was just wondering."
Mikey and Emily suddenly go whipping past them and Raph and Seth jump a bit. Mikey and Emily were laughing and he was chasing her obviously in a playful mood. "Give that back to me, you!" "Come and get it!!"
She was running around with his mask and both Raph and Seth watched the couple have a good time. Raph smiles, but then after some moments his smile faded a bit and he swallows. "Eve use to do stuff like that all the time..."
Seth frowns and looks at him. "What?"
Raph jumps a bit and shakes his head and looked startled, not realizing he said that out loud. "O-Oh- nothing....."
Seth frowns more. He knew his dad was just as sad as he was for his mother's disappearance. Raph walks away rubbing the back of his neck and goes into his room and closes the door.
Seth ached inside and suddenly a hand rests on his shoulder. Seth turns his head fast and sees Leo standing there with a concerned look on his face. "Raph misses her....You both do."
Seth grits his teeth and nods, "I...know my dad is probably trying to be strong...it just...I wish I could make things better."
Leo frowns, "You do, Seth. Without you...I don't know what Raph would do or what he'd be like. And honestly, I don't wanna know."
Seth swallows and looks down a moment before looking back at Leo. "Just....tell me she didn't run away..."
Leo goes wide eyed, "Do you believe she did?"
Seth looks uneasy but then shakes his head. "N...No...."
uSeth grits his teeth and hugs Leo suddenly and tightly. "Th-thank you, Uncle Leo...I-I needed to hear that..."
Leo frowns and hugs Seth back. "Now....go do something to take your mind off things."
Seth gives a nod and heads into the garage to see what he could do.
Leo's eyes fell, however, on Raph's door. He stares at it a bit, knowing well that Raph was having a moment in there where he just needed to be left alone.
After a while of Seth being in the garage working on stuff he decided to go out again on a run and patrol and get some fresh air.
So taking his camera that he had found the night before, he heads out again.

Gosh I love Emily towards the end LOL <3
Can't wait to see when June and Virgil, along with Tsaya, will enter the story !
